Orchid nr 2 fabulous cruise
We had a wonderful stay at the Orchid nr. 2 cruising through Halong Bay. We had a wonderful room, delicious food. The staff is very very friendly and helpfull. We were especially fond of mr. Bean and Jerry but they were all very friendly. The food was excellent.

Enjoyable cruise amidst stunning scenery
We did an overnight cruise of Ha Long bay as part of a tour of Vietnam. Our cabin was quite clean and comfortable, the food was very good and the service was great. We particularly appreciated the excellent service from Lee and Tom who ensured that we had everything we needed. Our cruise director, Joy, was also excellent. Great cruise and wonderful scenery.

Unmissable!!
We absolutely loved our trip to Ha Long Bay with Orchid Cruises. The boat was a little more than we had initially budgeted for, but it was 100% worth it. The facilities were excellent, so much attention to detail with huge beds and enormous baths overlooking the water. The food on board was excellent with a variety of options for everyone, but the real highlight was the staff. They all went above and beyond to help us with our four under 4s, looking after the babies for us whilst we kayaked, preparing special rice broths for the babies to eat and interacting with the older two. If you have children but still want a luxurious trip, do not go past Orchid Cruises. Plus of course the location is totally out of this world – our older children absolutely adored exploring the caves!

Liked · Beautiful room we were in the suite and couldn’t fault it. Manager Jerry was very knowledgeable and fun and we had mr bean as our server at meal time and couldn’t do enough for us! Excellent and can’t wait to go again

The most Instagramable cruise ever!

Liked · The ship was luxurious, spotless and fun; the crew made it even better! They waved us in as we arrived and then dropped rose petals on us as we entered the boat. The entire experience was so amazing.
Disliked · It was way too short so everything felt rushed. I wish we could have stayed 2 nights instead of 1, but the price was too high.

Family treat. 
Liked · The boat was so luxurious, the staff amazing and the food Devine.
We had a family cabin which was essentially 2 huge cabins with interconnecting door.
To have a roll top bath whilst watching the sunset ….amazing!
Various activities to pick and choose from. The Kayaking was deff a hit all round.
Everyone treated the boys well and even made them a separate dinner.
Disliked · You only actually get 24 hours in board the boat, so be prepared to get up early to make the most of everything.

Worth every penny!!

Liked · All the staff, lead by the manager Ronald were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The luxury minibus transfer was on time and very comfortable. Rooms were immaculate and very spacious, just like the photos! Food was amazing and all dietary requirements were catered for. Brave the 150 steps for the tour of the cave and make sure you get up early for the kayaking because it’s more than worth it for the view! Drinks were all reasonably priced and there is happy hour before and after dinner so cocktails are 241!
This cruise was one of the most expensive we looked at but I’m so glad we paid the extra.

Unforgettable in all the best ways!

Liked · Just incredible! My husband and I did this cruise for our honeymoon, and it was such an amazing experience! We were on Orchid 3 with Ronaldo (who was simply amazing- such a great personality and remembered us by first and last name the entire journey!). We got the first floor room and it was soooo lux! Huge and comfortable. Taking a bath with that view was one of the most luxurious things I’ve done in my life!
We skipped the caves to stay on the boat but had a great experience the next day bicycle riding and kayaking. We wish we had spent more time kayaking but it was really amazing none the less. The food on this cruise was phenomenal! We enjoyed the Vietnamese dishes more than the western, but everything was really tasty. The last night, the crew brought out special sex on the beach drinks for all the honeymooners and made us feel so special! Completely unforgettable experience- you won’t regret booking with Orchid!
Just a tip- we brought our own booze on the ship after reading all the reviews and were so thankful we did! We ended up getting a couple happy hour cocktails but boy were they expensive for Vietnamese standard! Get a bottle of vodka in Hanoi for 100k and make your own drinks in your room. This is not breaking the rules as the actually encourage you to buy alcohol from the pier before boarding.

Disliked · Nothing not to love except the haters (some guests finding the tiniest details to complain about… I think you’re just an unhappy person if you’re unhappy on this boat!)

Excellent, beautiful place. Were were well away from all the crowd.

Liked · Excellent cruise ship. Excellent staff. Jerry was amazing host. Martin took very good care of us. We enjoyed every bit of it. the rooms and bathrooms were huge. Kayaking was really fun. The staff made a great effort to serve us vegetarian food. We loved the salads and fruits. there was a huge variety. They celebrated my bday with a Cake without us putting in any special request. which was very sweet of them. Checkin and checkout process was very easy and smooth.

Disliked · We hated the sit down dinner. It was too formal for us. The music was a bit boring. Would have been happier if it was more informal, a nice lively music and a bit of dancing and mingling around with other guests.

Liked · The warmth of the staff aboard the cruise was the best thing especially the attention and love they gave to my kid who is 4 years old. Big shoutout to mr Ronald and his staff for making the cruise so memorable and feeling like at home

Orchid Cruise on Haiphong Bay
Our boat was clean and very good food was served. The staff decorated our room to acknowledge our anniversary, as well as at dinner with another couple who had recently married.
After lunch, we boarded a bus which took us to a large cave. The Orchid Cruise guide took us on a tour of the cave, while pointing out areas that showed that people had lived there, such as a kitchen and a bathing area.
Of course, the main reason for our taking this cruise was to view the magnificent limestone karsts. We especially enjoyed viewing them in the early morning from our private deck.

You will be collected from Hanoi Old Quarter to take the new highway to Got Ferry Terminal – Cat Hai Town, Haiphong City where we arrive at around 11h30. The passengers have a chance to experience on longest and newest bridge in South East Asia area. You can take special tea at Orchid Cruises’ lounge by warm welcome.

Transfer by tender to the ORCHID CRUISES.

We welcome our guests onboard the ORCHID CRUISES and then check in, enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Lan Ha Bay.

ORCHID CRUISES proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Have International Buffet Lunch while passing via the islets of Con Vit area. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island – Thoi Quyt area – Coc Ngoi islet – through Gia Luan area where is belong to Cat Ba National Park.

Arrive Gia Luan, progress to Trung Trang cave by ORCHID bus on Cat Ba island which is located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao forest around the cave.

Trung Trang Valley is the largest valley on Cat Ba Island. The valley covers an area of approximately 300 hectares, has a depth of 10m to 30m and is around 15km in the middle of Cat Ba National Park. Trung Trang Cave measures 300m lengthwise through the mountains. The cave was carved by nature for more than 2000 years. The cave has many stalactites that take on various shapes that will awe and inspire visitors to use their imagination.

DAY 2: LAN HA BAY

The day starts early onboard ORCHID CRUISES with Tai Chi session on the sundeck.

The breakfast is served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape, then continue our journey.

Transfer to Orchid Day Boat to visit Viet Hai village. You will take the bicycle trip along the village path and go through rain forests and dark tunnel.  Enjoy stunning scenery of rice fields on the way. Stop at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud, bamboo…you will have chance to see the local life on a valley of local people. Optional electric car service is available (included).

Back to day boat for visiting Ba Trai Dao Beach. Lunch served on day boat.

Visiting Ba Trai Dao Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lan Ha Bay. You will enjoy the green emerald and cool water by swimming and kayaking, or just sunbathing on the beautiful sand.
